This is an impressive party animal of a “floating island” (as they’re called – we consider it a raft), that houses up to six people, all in one raft of inflatable delight!

Of course, if you were to analyze the manufacturer’s instructions carefully, you would be advised not to be intoxicated while using any waterborne craft, especially in the middle of a lake or out to sea. Beach Baby couldn’t agree more!

Care must be taken at all times when you’re out on any type of waterborne vessel, whether it be a boat, raft or inflatable.

On the topic of alcohol consumption, it does make Beach Baby scratch their head and wonder why, if the manufacturer’s practically want their users to join the temperance league, do then so many of them come with a specific beer cooler?  

It must be one of life’s mysteries, we suppose. Hmm…. this model does come with a drinks cooler, although technically, nobody is making you park a party pack of Bud in it.  

Other additional features include nice wide comfy back rests, and a removable sunshade.

So what do users generally think of this product?

The reviews for this product are generally positive, with most customers having a lot of praise for the large, 50-pound floating party monster.

The asking price is in ‘the under $300 range’, which is not bad considering this is a fun station, that can basically host a mini party, while afloat.  

Of course, we encourage you to shop around for the best price possible before buying.

WILL THIS FLOATING ISLAND FLOAT MY BOAT?

The first question that often gets asked about the Bestway Coolerz Tropical Breeze is what is its intended use? Would you use this in a stationary capacity, or try towing it perhaps? Can it even be towed?  

It might be possible for it to withstand a few waves, but it is not a boat, and not meant for jumping around in it too much.  

So, it would be advisable not to try to create too much of a ruckus onboard the raft when inflated, and definitely not when there are folks aboard!

There have been a few questions about whether it is possible to attempt to mount some sort of motor to this, to turn it more into some sort of boat.  

The answer is ‘no’, this is not recommended. Buy paddles and move it manually! 

WHERE’S THE PARTY?

Then there’s the question of where is best to use this magnificent beast?

Some feel a lake is definitely the best environment, as it is intended more for calm waters, with plenty of space around it, rather than life on the open seas.

Be sure to bring an anchor if you want it stationary.  It does not come with one.

Some customers also that feel it may be a little too delicate to withstand the bumps and grinds that go with a river (sharp rocks etc).

THAR SHE BLOWS!

Next up, how easy is this to get going?

Let’s face it, anything capable of holding six people, isn’t exactly little.  

That said, it is able to fit into a fairly small carrying bag, that can easily fit in your backseat with all the rest of your beach stuff when you’re heading out on vacation.

With an average electric pump, inflation takes up to fifteen minutes, and someone who said they used an electric leaf blower said this only took about two minutes.

Fifteen minutes isn’t too much time to wait!

SINK OR SWIM?

Well, what’s not to like about sitting drinking cold beverages out on the lake?

This is a decent sized party station – housing six people easily.

The loungers are comfortable, the sun shade a must, to stop you being fried by the demon sun god, and the drinks holders, unlike some models, are serviceable.

There are one or two customers who feel let down by the service provided by Bestway, and a couple of gripes about deflation (as in  losing air, not issues with trying to get the air out of it).

It would be worth reminding users to keep the station fully inflated, and that also any minor leaks can usually be repaired.

Beach Baby feels this is a good choice for partying and relaxing out on the lake with your friends and few drinks.
