Deluxe Oversized Mesh Family XL Beach Tote Bag Review

So bye, bye purse, hello giant tote bag!  Classy and elegant?  Not exactly.  Functional and needed?  Yes, definitely.  Not that I’m complaining – being a mother has been a glorious thing, and I couldn’t imagine my life any other way. 

Always Ready To Go!

As a mother of three boys I must always be well prepared wherever we go, and one place we go to a lot, is the beach.  That means that in my beach bag there always has to be water, snacks, sun tan lotion, playing cards, comic books, first aid, my wallet, keys, sunglasses, phone…

Long story short, I carry the entire house in there.  To tell you the truth I need large bags not only for the beach, but also when I take my sons (age 3, 6, and 11) to the soccer field, to the zoo, to the park, or simply if they have a play date somewhere out of the house.

Yeah, it’s hard to be a mom who is always prepared, especially if you have active kids who always come to you asking if you have this or that.  You really have to be a magician and pull it out of your bag.  Let me tell you that I’ve tried out a few tote bags now, and I have ripped each and every one carrying them around.

Every mother, no matter how young her children are, knows that a solid bag needs to endure quite a bit of weight.  In fact, I remember last week when my 3 year old son threw a tantrum because I wasn’t going to put a full jar of pickles in the bag along with everything else.  Guess what?  It was just easier to take the pickles with us (3 more pounds to carry, for sure – don’t judge me!).

After spending a large sum of money on bags in the past six months that were supposed to endure at least one beach day and one soccer game, I decided to get myself something super solid, no matter how much it costs. 

I’ve searched online and in the local mall stores, but all of them seemed too weak for me.  I could just tell they were going to give out, no matter how much the clerk insisted they would not. 

Then, one desperate night when I had just about given up – an ad popped up on my computer screen offering me this.

Normally these ads are the bane of my existence, but in my delirium, I saw what looked to be a pretty nice looking tote bag staring back at me with a reasonable price.

What I was looking at was BeachMall’s “Deluxe Oversized Mesh Family XL Beach Tote Jumbo Bag With Carabiner Hook“. 

Catchy name, right?  Okay, I said, let’s see this thing, and down clicked my finger.  Well, I have to say that I was immediately intrigued – so many pockets, waterproof, super big, good color choices, and on top of that – very affordable.

I could feel my hand immediately going to my credit card, but wait! – I needed to know more.  The manufacturer BeachMall made sure to create an oversized family bag with eight large puffed out compartments, credit card pockets, and pockets for small things that can be easily reached and found.

All right, I thought, is this for real?  I had to find more info, but the more customer reviews about this BeachMall XL tote bag I read, the more I was thinking I needed to get it, so I ordered it.  We were going to be hitting the beach all summer, so now was the time.

Luckily, it arrived quite fast and yes, it’s all that they say it is – a big, sturdy family bag.  I immediately needed to check it for space.  Yes, you can put in three large towels.  There are eight compartments where I can easily put water bottles, books, sun tan lotions, snacks, keys… literally everything that I was planning to take.  Heck, I could even pack myself and go on a short trip with this bag.  Good job, I thought, this was designed for moms like me.

Dimensions and Colors

The dimensions of this bag are: height 14″, width 15″, and depth 9″.  This XL beach tote bag comes in black and white, blue and white, and yellow and orange.  Oh, and there’s also one entirely black extra large bag, which I have to say I was tempted to order.  I know I will order it one of these days.  I’m extremely content with what this Deluxe Oversized Mesh beach bag does for me.  Now, I have no worries whether I’ll have to add another bag for our beach trips or mountain hikes, because I know that everything I, and my boys need, is safely packed in the bag.

What Else I Like

Another thing I like about this bag is the net fabric it is made of.  Not only it is water proof, but it also lets the air flow so you don’t get disgustingly smelly wet towels,if I forget to take them out after the beach day.

Also, finally, I don’t have to shake it inside out to get rid of the sand. Good design, I have to say.

The handles are wide enough to carry it over your shoulder, or in your hand.  The metal hook below the handles is quite practical for keeping your keys there or a name tag, if you will.

The BeachMall Deluxe Oversized Mash bag has not let me down so far, and I plan to carry it with me for my upcoming yoga classes as well – 5 STARS!
