Canany Underwater Action Video Camera Review
I’ve purchased numerous underwater video cameras myself, and some are truly bargain bin quality, while others are super high quality, but I was still on the lookout for that one camera that I could take with me to record some of the water sports I take part in (waterskiing, diving, skimboarding, etc), which could capture all the action, but if I end up breaking it, I wouldn’t be out hundreds of dollars. I do some pretty crazy stunts, and I’ve broken both a few expensive, and cheap cameras in my time.
In other words, I needed something that was going to have great video quality, capture lots of action with great sound, color, but wasn’t going to be crazy expensive.
Enter the Canany Underwater Action Video Camera 1080P – which has a lot of exciting features but isn’t going to put you in major debt.

Alright, now that we’ve seen this little camera submerged, let’s go into more detail about the Canany Underwater Action Camera.
Pros:
Wide Angle Lens – Whether you’re below the sea or not, a wide angle camera really does come in handy when it comes to taking in amazing sights. There are so many panoramic views to take in, and not every video camera is good at that, much less one that functions as an underwater camera.
But this Canany model certainly has a wide field of view, and I feel this video camera is excellent for just about anything you point it at. I’ve used it for snorkelling, and I’ve caught some great videos with it.
Video Quality – We’re talking full 1080P here with the Canary Underwater Video Camera, and for the price you pay for this little device, you rarely get this level of quality with other similarly priced cameras.
For instance, I’ve seen cameras in this price range that can do 30 FPS, but this one has them beat as it can do 60. That’s a pretty substantial increase in your frame rate, and the difference is quite noticeable.
You get tons of detail in your videos, and the colors are anything but dull. The footage you get from this Canany underwater camera is something you can be proud to share with your whole family, or with your “audience” if you’re a YouTuber like me, or someone who likes to share their videos with the world.
Versatile – The one thing I really enjoy with this camera is the number of accessories it comes with, not to mention the other accessories you can add on if you so choose. It comes with a ton of stuff out of the box, such as a waterproof case, several different clips, a helmet mount, stickers, a USB cable, batteries, a manual, a bike mount, belts, wipers…like I said, there’s a LOT.
For under $50, this is a great value. This Canany camera is GoPro-compatible, so it truly is an “action” camera. I’ve used this camera to capture many waterskiing videos, and it does a great job. It’s been involved in some wipeouts too, and has survived them no problem, and even captured the drama in the process.
